Professor Amos Tai, Associate Director of OUGE, was awarded Ten Outstanding Young Persons
Congratulations to Professor Tai Pui Kuen Amos, Associate Professor in the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at CUHK, on being named one of Hong Kong’s Ten Outstanding Young Persons for 2024! He is the only climate scientist in Hong Kong to be awarded the World Meteorological Organization Research Award for Young Scientists, a founding member of the Hong Kong Young Academy of Sciences, and a Board Governor of Friends of the Earth (HK). Professor Tai conducts research on the climate and environmental sciences at CUHK, and is dedicated to public education and advocacy on climate and the environment, regularly providing consultation and training to the government, industry and civic organizations.
