Dr. LAM To Kam Cherry is a nature lover, who has been fascinated by the wonders of life since she was a child. She obtained her B.Sc. in Biology from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). She later got her M.Phil and PhD. degrees in Biomedical sciences from the University of Hong Kong (HKU), in which her research addressed the molecular basis for Intervertebral disc degeneration.
She joined the General Education Foundation (GEF) Programme, with the vision of promoting science education in her alma mater. As a teacher, she is interested in studying students’ thinking complexity in their writing. This not only could help us understand students, but also give feedback on students’ learning. She is currently developing experiential learning platforms and activities to engage students’ reflection and discussion on the critical issues of human society.
